Device management

Overview

Device Management is a feature used to manage the model information of SMS-Nexus hardware components. By registering the component models used in the system here in advance, users can select the appropriate models when configuring a vessel.

This information will also be useful for future maintenance activities and product recalls.

In this page the user will be able to create and update devices and models.

Device: Refers to any individual physical unit, module, or piece of equipment deployed within a vessel.

Model: Defines the standardized specifications, manufacturer details, and/or configuration capabilities for a specific type of device.

Prerequisites

Before proceeding, ensure the following requirements are met.

  • You have access to iCreate.

  • You are logged in to iCreate.

In order to access the device management page, click on the homepage side menu 'Device management' tab.
